Join the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County Saturday, June 6th, for their 2026 Spring Meeting!
Right now, a lot of us are looking for two things: honest conversation about what is happening to our democracy, and a genuine reason to feel hopeful.
This year’s Spring Meeting offers both.
Join LWV SLOCO on Saturday, June 6, for a morning at Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach with fellow members, community neighbors, and guest speaker Kaila Dettman, Executive Director of The Land Conservancy of SLO County. Kaila will share her talk “Finding Hope in Nature,” drawing on her work protecting more than 66,000 acres of agricultural land, open space, and wildlands in and around SLO County. Her work is a powerful reminder that long-term thinking, community partnership, and patient stewardship can still move mountains, literally.
The $40 ticket includes a continental breakfast buffet. You do not need to be a League member to attend. Seats are limited. Doors will open at 9 am and the program will begin at 9:30 am.
