The San Luis Obispo Grocery Outlet, a locally owned and operated grocery store part of a national chain, is excited to announce the launch of a school partnership program to benefit the San Luis Obispo School District, in which each school receives 5 percent of the purchases made on their behalf. Parents must sign up through their PTA, who receives scan cards for all staff and students’ families that are specific to their school. When a purchase is made, the store will scan the card and capture the dollars spent (excluding alcohol). At the end of each month, the total purchases for each school are calculated and the each school receives 5 percent of the purchases made on their behalf. There will be no blackout dates or restrictions on purchases, aside from alcohol. The program launches on April 14 and will conclude on Aug. 31.
