The old, Wild West, as only the Melodrama would envision it, comes to Oceano when The Great American Melodrama opens The Saga of Roaring Gulch on Thursday, April 30. This hilarious musical spoof of Western life, with book, music and lyrics by Jack L. Canon, is directed by Eric Hoit, with musical direction by Kevin Lawson and choreography by Leah Kolb. Performances are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 3 and 7pm, and Sundays at 6pm. (On Thursday, May 7 a 2pm performance replaces the 7pm performance.) The Melodrama’s in-house snack bar features great food and drinks served before the show and during intermissions. Tickets are $19 to $25, with discounts available for groups, seniors, students, active military, and children.
