Join us for highly varied and emotionally charged concert by the Cuesta Wind Ensemble, Jennifer Martin, conductor. Two premiere performances will be featured. The CWE will give the West Coast premiere of John Mackey’s “Lightning Field”, a highly energetic work by today’s hottest composer in the wind band field. The ensemble will also perform the world premiere of a work by James Lamb from Camp San Luis titled “Like a Sentry Stands a Solitary Oak”. Lamb composed the work in honor fallen soldier SSG David Perry. The work is a stirring tribute to our military men and women who have given their all in service to our country. The performance will be conducted by the composer, and for this concert, ALL ACTIVE MILITARY PERSONNEL WITH I.D. WILL BE ADMITTED FREE OF CHARGE.
