Dawn Ortiz-Legg has just announced the launch of her campaign for the 35th State Assembly District, a seat that has been held by Katcho Achadjian since 2010. Ortiz-Legg has worked in the local solar energy sector for the last five years, doing project management, public affairs and most recently community outreach work for large projects such as the Topaz Solar Farm in California Valley, the California Flats Solar Project in Cholame Valley and the Cuyama Solar Project. She will join Jordan Cunningham of Templeton. The district is an “Open Seat” as Achadjian is pursuing the 24th Congressional District seat that has been help by Lois Capps since 1998.
