Acoustic Guitar Phenomenon Tommy Emmanuel returns to the Performing Arts Center
San Luis Obispo, CALIFORNIA – Two-time Grammy Nominee TOMMY EMMANUEL, whose five-decade career has garnered hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide, will be bringing his passionate and infectious live solo “It’s Never Too Late” show to the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.
Special opening guest: The Wisherkeepers
“Blessed with impeccable taste and exceptional technique, [Tommy Emmanuel is] able to perform folk, rock, jazz, country and blues with fluid ease and impressive authority.”– San Diego Union Tribune
Emmanuel’s unique style – he calls it simply “finger style” – is akin to playing guitar the way a pianist plays piano: using all ten fingers. Rather than using a whole band for melody, rhythm, bass, and drum parts, Emmanuel plays all that – and more – on one guitar. Cal Poly Arts presents this one-night-only engagement is in support of Emmanuel’s brand-new album, It’s Never Too Late, containing 14 tracks of all original solo music.
Student and adult tickets for the performance range from $24 – $45 and may be purchased in advance at the Cal Poly Ticket Office, Monday – Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., located on Grand Avenue on the Cal Poly campus.
TICKETS: 805/756-4TIX (4849) or order online at www.calpolyarts.org.
