The original San Luis Obispo Contra Dance band, The Growling Old Geezers, are playing lively old-time music for dancers from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.at Odd Fellows Hall, 520 Dana Street, San Luis Obispo, on Saturday, February 13. Andy Shore, from Aptos, will teach dance steps at 6:30 and then call the dances from 7 to 10 p.m. Andy has been calling contra dances since 2007 and is an excellent dance teacher.

Contra dancing is fun and friendly; no experience or partner necessary; families welcome. Adults $10; students with ID, and CCCDS members $5, age 16 and under free. Contra dances are sponsored the second Saturday of each month by the Central Coast Country Dance Society, www.cccds.org
