An accomplished pianist with a strong background in classical, jazz, and other forms of improvised music, Mark Pietri has had a diverse and successful career. He has performed at various jazz venues in New York City, San Diego, Los Angeles, and now on the Central Coast of California.
Mark served as Music Director for the Melodrama in Oceano as well as productions for the SLO Little Theater and the Cambria Center for the Arts. The original musical “Cancelling Cable (And Other Empty Threats)” written by Michael Kaplan with music composed by Mark Pietri premiered at the SLO Little Theater in January, 2015. The production was a huge success.
In addition to performing in various jazz settings, Mark is a busy piano teacher, accompanist, and vocal coach.
