SLO Museum of Art hosts Aquarius 2016

In conjunction with the Central Coast Watercolor Society, SLOMA presents Aquarius 2016, a Pacific regional exhibition of the best in watercolor.

This year’s juror, Chris Van Winkle, selected the artwork. He was a California scene painter who taught art for over 30 years at Citrus College in Los Angeles as well as jurying the annual exhibitions of Watercolor West and the Watercolor Societies of Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona. He split his time between his studio in Morro Bay and various plein air locations. Mr. Van Winkle died on January 23, 2016 after a long illness. He is honored in this exhibition with three recent paintings on display.
