Students with technology expertise can win up to $1,500 to aid in reaching educational goals.
Experts Exchange, an online community of over half a million technology professionals, announced the official launch of its annual scholarship contest, open to students who are looking for some additional financial help to reach their educational aspirations.
An idea sparked by the many students who attend Cal Poly, the alma mater to many Experts Exchange employees, Experts Exchange is calling for all students who are currently enrolled in, or accepted to, a college, university or trade school to participate in this contest. Each will have a chance to win $1,500 for first place, followed by $1,000 and $500 for 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
“At Experts Exchange, we believe in creativity that sparks innovation and makes this a better world for us to live in,” said Gene Richardson, COO of Experts Exchange. “We are passionate about supporting the creative genius in students and want to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. We have established this scholarship for students to showcase their knowledge, passion and dedication to technology and give them an opportunity to continue to chase their dreams.”
Here’s how the contest works:
Applicants will submit technology-focused articles and videos to the Experts Exchange site that will be voted on by the Experts Exchange community throughout the time of the contest. Chosen by a panel of both Experts Exchange members and employees, the applicants of the top 3 winning projects will receive contest winnings that may be applied to all school-related expenses including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board.
The Fall contest deadline is June 30, 2016, and the Winter contest deadline is December 31, 2016. For more information about the contest and contest rules, please visit: http://pages.experts-exchange.com/scholarship
