Local photographers joined forces with Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obipso County at the mentoring agency’s holiday party this month. Volunteers from SLO Camera Club and ProPhoto Camera Club devoted their talent to documenting the magic of mentoring.
Photographers captured high-resolution, professional images of more than 300 party-goers. In addition to images of children engaging in seasonal activities, photographers also captured timeless moments of Bigs and Little relationships. For Big Brothers Big Sisters, compelling images of Bigs and Littles in action is key to marketing and telling stories of impacts made by caring volunteers, as well as fund raising and volunteer recruitment.
The photos will also make great “Thank You” gifts for organizations that made the party possible. The Charles E. Teach Elementary School hosted the event. SLO Exchange Club sponsored it. Cal Poly’s Student Community Services helped Santa provide each child with an individualized gift. Chicano Correctional Workers’ Association and SLO Roasted Coffee provided hot meals and beverages. Madonna Inn Bakery, Jenny Anthony, Trader Joe’s donated craft and gift supplies. Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and Alpha Epsilon Sorority helped out with gifts and activities. Visual reminders of this holiday season’s mentoring moments will help to ensure continued support for years to come.
