Softec, the Central Coast’s premier software and technology association, will hold an event to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Joshua Erdman, President of Softec will present the 2016 IMPACT (Innovation, Management, Public Service, Advocacy, Community, and Technology) Award, and recognize dignitaries and milestone achievements of technology companies and developments from the Central Coast.
“Softec has been a leader in innovation and technology on the Central Coast for many years,” said assembly member Katcho Achadjian. “Their business is a bright spot in our community and I am glad to see their business thrive.”
The celebration will take place at Cal Poly Technology Park, Building 83 on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for networking. Presentations will begin at 6 p.m. Raffle drawings will be held throughout the event, along with heavy hors d’oeuvres, anniversary cake and refreshments.
Softec will be celebrating 20 years of hosting events that provide connections and opportunities within the local technology community. When people come together locally to create opportunities for advancement of technology, business formation or growth that is a “Softec Moment” and it is the mission and goal of their organization. Events include dinners with technology presentations, Tech Brew monthly meetups, open houses with tours of local tech companies, Women in Technology monthly meetups, and the annual Robotics Expo attended by over 500 people.
