In observance of National Police Week, the San Luis Obispo Downtown Association is celebrating Law Enforcement Night at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market on Thursday, May 19 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

This event is set to commemorate public safety personnel across San Luis Obispo County, with members of each law enforcement agency stationed throughout the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market.

Along with various police departments, representatives from the FBI, SWAT team and the SLO County Bomb Task Force will be in attendance.

Officers will be providing interactive educational materials for kids, and demonstrations of resources used in everyday police work. Some include guns, robots and transportation vehicles. Kids of all ages will be able to test out equipment, engage, and ask questions. This event is sponsored by the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
