United Way of San Luis Obispo County is proud to announce the recipients of the 2016-2017 Community Impact Fund. Fifteen nonprofit organizations received grants, in the amount of $5,000 each, for programs that positively impact the community and focus on strategies for structural change.
This year, United Way received requests totaling more than $220,000. Applicants were scored on criteria ensuring impact, accountability and outcome delivery. After a rigorous review by more than 25 community volunteers, the following programs were selected:
