Enjoy the “Golden Age of Rail” on Saturday, September 17th along one of the most spectacular of all train routes in the United States.
The morning excursion leaves the SLO Amtrak station on the 6:50 am Surfliner. In Santa Barbara transfer to the elegant 1949 Overland Trail Lounge car on the return to SLO, arriving at 1 pm. Cost is $99 per person.
Or board the 1950 Silver Splendor Dome Streamliner, leaving the SLO Amtrak station at 1:55 pm, to Santa Barbara. Transfer to the evening Surfliner, arriving back in SLO at 8:30 pm. Cost is $99 per person.
Or board in Santa Barbara and ride both cars along the spectacular Central Coast. Cost is $125 per person, not including travel to or from Santa Barbara.
You’ll pass Vandenberg Air Force Bases launch pads. Watch for dolphins, whales and many other sights and areas normally not available by any other method of travel. Admission to the SLO Railroad Museum on Saturday, September 17th, is included with your excursion fare, so you can make a whole day of fun.
