The San Luis Obispo Museum of Art presents Elusive Origins, an exhibition of original digital art by Kathryn Bay on view from November 4 till January 2, 2017.
Bay majored in painting at UC Berkeley from 1960 to 1964. Bay channels the studious focus of a macro photographer and the elemental passions of a minimalist painter to find inspiration for her work. She has no interest in representational imagery. Though the foundations of her images may come from cracks in cement, scaffolding, fabric, and leaves, she blends and superimposes realism into a totally new state of being.
