RSVP today for the fall edition of Visit San Luis Obispo County’s quarterly Industry Educational Symposium series, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Embassy Suites in San Luis Obispo. The symposium series is designed to cover important and timely industry topics, focused on two key goals:

Chuck Davison, President & CEO of Visit San Luis Obispo County will be providing an overview of current VSLOC initiatives, including our Strategic Plan, the launch of new air service to Seattle, SAVOR – A San Luis Obispo County Experience and strategic partnership efforts with Visit California.
Paul Krause, AmericanTours International
Paul Krause, Product Manager of AmericanTours International, one of America’s largest group and FIT receptive tour operator companies will be giving an overview of what a receptive operator is, and explain the benefits of working with receptive operators.
Wallace Group/SLOCOG
Wallace Group and SLOCOG will discuss Measure J, a proposed tax initiative that would support infrastructure funding throughout San Luis Obispo County.
Lindsey Miller, Pacific Gas & Electric
In light of PG&E’s recent announcement of Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant’s impending closure, Lindsey Miller from the External Affairs & Public Policy Department at PG&E will describe the phase-out process, and what the closure of the plant means for San Luis Obispo County lodging partners and members.
John Spatafore, Homeless Foundation
Today we face the challenge of caring for our community’s homeless and working poor who seek to return to self-sufficiency. The 40 Prado project is working to solve this issue by streamlining current homeless programs with a brand-new, innovative facility. John Spatafore, Chair of the Homeless Foundation, will discuss this program and its potential impact on the tourism industry.
