Wells Fargo Foundation awarded a grant of $2,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters in support of the agency’s youth mentoring programs.
“Wells Fargo’s support of Big Brothers Big Sisters speaks to the passion our company has for investing in programs that help our communities. This organization has a proven track record of helping young people in our community grow into responsible and productive citizens.” – San Luis Obispo Wells Fargo representative Jeff Brown
The agency’s Community Based program applies research based, one-to-one mentoring techniques to benefit local youth. Volunteer role models undergo a rigorous selection process and are strategically matched with a child based on compatibles related to personality, age, culture, interests, and geographical location. Emphasis is placed on the value of having fun together and forming a bond based upon mutual interests and shared experiences.
