Lua’s Catering, in association with SLO People’s Kitchen, will be feeding approximately 125 regular daily guests in addition to the service members and anyone in need at The Prado Day Center on Thursday, December 22.

For more than 20 years the People’s Kitchen has provided a noon meal to the hungry. More than 30,000 meals are served each year. The success of the People’s Kitchen has been due to the volunteer efforts of many individuals and organizations. The People’s Kitchen does not receive local, state, or federal money. All meals are provided through volunteer efforts.

Lua’s Catering is locally owned and operated by José Lua, his wife Liduvina and their five children. Many of their recipes were perfected in Jiquilpan Michoacán, Mexico and feature an authentic mix of traditional flavors and quality local ingredients.

The Lua Family is proud to be a part of the Central Coast Community and have donated food to various organizations and events such as the FFA end of the year banquet and other fund raising events aimed at raising money for the foundation, which several of the Lua children are involved in. The Lua’s also provided food for the SLO Chamber of Commerce “Expo at the Expo” free of charge
