There will be a screening of the documentary film “The Mind of Mark DeFriest” followed by a question-and-answer session with filmmaker Gabe London. The film explores the life and mind of a legendary escape artist who came up for parole after more than 30 years behind bars.

This event will be co-sponsored by the Center for Service in Action as part of Change the Status Quo, an annual social justice conference at Cal Poly that aims to challenge social norms and empower students to utilize their education to make a lasting social change.
