This year’s Stars of SLO concert features two outstanding local artists: Anthony Yi on saxophone and playing Introduction and Variations on Carnival of Venice; and Dave Strickler on euphonium, performing the first movement of UFO Dreams. In addition, the SLO Winds will play the world premier of Associate Conductor David Rackley’s in Memoriam, composed around Taps, the iconic bugle piece played at military funerals and national cemeteries.
