We continue our Downtown Foreward series on Downtown-related issues, policies, and ideas with a forum and discussion on housing on August 16 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Learn about the existing supply of Downtown housing and the proposed projects and policies that will take us into the future of housing for San Luis Obispo residents. This event is free and open to the public and will take place in the Community Room at the County Library located at 995 Palm Street. Panelists include:
– Community Development Director Michael Codron will kick off the evening with a thorough update on the current state of housing and what the prospect of future development looks like.
– Local real estate broker Chris Richardson will elaborate on current housing economics and real estate trends that affect buyers and sellers on the Central Coast.
– Local developer Matt Quaglino has first-hand experience with the economics of the local real estate market. He will be sharing his stories as a San Luis native and developer.
– Michael McDonald not only works Downtown, he lives here. Find out what it is like to live just a block and a half away from your job and the benefits he enjoys by living in the urban core.
