At its September 27th meeting, the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) Board approved funding to help local residents clean up old wood burning devices in the Five Cities and Paso Robles areas. The APCD is currently seeking project applications. Funding for these emission reduction projects comes from local mitigation funding.

Specific funding is available in the following areas:

  • $47,648 in Paso Robles (93446); and
  • $28,365 for Arroyo Grande (93420), Grover Beach (93433), Pismo Beach (93449), and Oceano (93445); and
  • There is also an additional $33,000 from a previous program remaining for residents in Nipomo (93444).
