slo repertory SLO REP presents A CHRISTMAS STORY, the holiday classic based on the popular film of the same name. Back by popular demand for the fourth year in a row, running Dec. 2-23, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Sold out for three years in a row and back by popular demand, the San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre is proud to present the family holiday classic A CHRISTMAS STORY.  Based on the popular 1983 motion picture, and written for the stage by Philip Grecian, A CHRISTMAS STORY is a festive and fun-filled holiday extravaganza. Jean Shepherd’s hilarious memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s is narrated by grown-up Ralph Parker and follows 9-year-old “Ralphie” in his quest for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. (“I want an official Red Ryder carbine-action, 200-shot Range Model air rifle with a compass and this thing which tells time built right in to the stock.”) Despite warnings that he’ll “shoot his eye out!” Ralphie wins the day against school bullies, parental resistance and even Santa’s admonitions! A CHRISTMAS STORY is directed by Kevin Harris and features the talents of an all-local cast, including Don Stewart, Felicia Hall, Seth Blackburn, Coen Carlberg, Erin Parsons, Weston Marum, brothers Drew Vander Weele and Kyan Vander Weele, Jed Authier, Isabella Grznar and Carmen Joines. The show runs December 2-23 with performances Wednesdays through Sundays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Ticket prices range from $20-$38 and are available at www.slorep.org or by calling (805) 786-2440.
