On Sunday, April 29, 2018 , 3 p.m., at the Performing Arts Center, celebrated organist Namhee Han will perform on Harman Hall’s Forbes Organ.
Her afternoon Forbes Organ recital will include selections from J.S. Bach, George Fridric Handel, Richard Wagner, Wolfgang Mozart, Gabriel Faure, Guy Bovet, Gioachino Antonio Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, and Camille Saint-Saëns.
Ms. Han began studying piano at age 8 in her native South Korea. Now the holder of Master’s and Doctoral degrees in both organ performance and applied linguistics from UCLA, she has performed at National and Regional Conventions of the American Guild of Organists. She also gave the opening concert for the renowned Los Angeles Bach Festival in 2013.
Her performances can be experienced on the DVDs, The Story of the Walt Disney Concert Hall Organ and American Public Media’s Pipedreams.
Currently, Ms. Han is the Resident Organist at Westwood Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles.
