On Tuesday, May 8 at the 2018 Tourism Exchange, Visit SLO CAL awarded the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market “Outstanding Destination Experience” in recognition of being exceptional and uniquely SLO CAL. Chief Operating Officer Rachel Maiorino accepted the award on behalf of Downtown SLO. As one of only four awards presented to local tourism leaders that evening, it is a huge honor for The Market.
Visit SLO CAL works to inspire and foster the unique experiences of San Luis Obispo County. The event was hosted in commemoration of National Travel and Tourism Week, highlighting the year’s accomplishments and honoring the efforts of the local tourism community. Currently celebrating its 35th year, the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market is an exemplary event special to San Luis Obispo. Downtown SLO is humbled to be recognized as a San Luis Obispo institution, and excited for the future of The Market and each individual who experiences it.
