Join the Central Coast Follies on their new adventure as they dance their way up Highway 101 to San Luis Obispo and the gorgeous and historic Fremont Theater.  This is the 16th year of benefit performances and lots of changes are “afoot.”   The Follies have a new venue; and for the first time, are partnering with the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo, as well as their long-time beneficiary, The Parkinson Alliance.

This year’s theme is:  A Little Bit OFF…BROADWAY.  The performers will wind their way from moving ballads to high energy tap and jazz numbers as they salute the musicals of the on- and off-Broadway stage.  Performance dates are:  October 5 at 7:00 p.m., with a “Red Carpet Premiere” event at 5:00 p.m., and October 6 and 7 at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets are available online at  www.FremontSLO.com , in person at BooBoo Records, or before the show at the Fremont Theater Box Office.  General seating tickets are $27 and $37, with an additional $15 per ticket for those who wish to participate in the “Red Carpet Premiere” event.  A discount of $5 per ticket is available for groups of ten or more (available by phone at BooBoo Records).

Over the last 15 years, without a lot of fanfare, the Central Coast Follies has donated an astonishing $369,000 for the research into treatment and a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.  This year they expanded their focus to embrace the significant need for nutritious and available food in the community by partnering with the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo.

THE CENTRAL COAST FOLLIES

The Central Coast Follies are a non-profit organization that began staging an annual musical and variety production 16 years ago for the sole purpose of raising money for a worthy cause.  Each year, they tap into the local pool of talented performers—singers, dancers, children, teens and other specialty acts—who volunteer their time and talents.  For more information, visit:  www.centralcoastfollies.org .
