This Thursday, November 8 from 6 – 9 p.m., the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market is pleased to host the 10th annual Veterans Day Celebration, along with Cal Poly Farm City Nights and performances by Cal Poly Athletics in an evening full of activities at The Market. These events are free, family-friendly and open to the public.

The Veterans Day celebration will take place at Chorro Street between Higuera and Monterey and will feature speakers, live music and more. A procession through The Market with Grizzly Youth Academy, Cal Poly ROTC and Central Coast Pipe and Drum will begin at the intersection of Nipomo and Higuera and end at the intersection of Chorro and Higuera. Grizzly Youth Academy will do a presentation of the color and sing the National Anthem. Live music will be provided by Crisptones Band starting at 7:30 p.m. Organizations related to veteran’s services will have booths throughout The Market.

Cal Poly Farm City Nights will take place at the intersection of Broad and Higuera street and will showcase 16 agricultural-related clubs at Cal Poly, including Nutrition Club, AgLeadership Society, Young Cattlemen’s Committee, Crops Club, Tractor Pull and many more.

Cal Poly Athletics will also be featuring at The Market on Morro and Higuera street. Live performance and music by Cal Poly band, cheer and dance teams, as well as booths from various groups on campus will showcased throughout The Market.
