The successful start-up, Rock the Vine is produced by two Cal Poly Seniors, Alex Broedlow and Emily Rosa, and SLO Brew Rock. The idea is to provide a makeshift “tasting room” in a farmers’ market style event focused around central coast wines. This project helps promote and provide exposure to the locally owned wineries without a large-scale tasting room of their own.

slo brewAs agricultural communication majors at Cal Poly, Alex and Emily decided they wanted to provide a new outlet for boutique and craft winemakers to come showcase their products for the entire Central Coast community to come enjoy. Instilled with “Learn by Doing philosophy in their minds, both Alex and Emily used their agricultural backgrounds to give back to the local agricultural comeback in their final before graduation day. What started as a senior project and one-time event, Alex and SLO Brew decided to continue Rock the Vine as a local biannual event.
