Jules DuRocher is owner of Jules D., a men’s lifestyle boutique in downtown San Luis Obispo. She started the store seven years ago in a small location on Garden Street selling books, shave gear, shoes and t-shirts for men. She has grown the business into her current location on Higuera, specializing in contemporary fashion. Her store has been voted the New Time’s Best Men’s Store in the county the last three years. Jules has served on the Downtown SLO Association’s board the last five years, including roles of Board President and the Economic Committee Chair.

During this workshop she will provide tips for keeping brick and mortar retail viable and thriving in the age of online shopping, strategies for shop set up and display, helpful hints for lease negotiations and defining the role of the small business owner in creating vibrant commercial centers.
