In partnership with Studios on the Park and in anticipation of the upcoming 25th Annual Central Coast Orchid Show & Sale sponsored by Five Cities Orchid Society (www.fcos.org), guest curators Deb and Ed Lysek seek entries for Orchids: Nature’s Masterpiece, which will take place at Studios on the Park in March 2020.
Visual artists working in a wide range of media are invited to share their submissions of orchid themed art. Artists are asked to capture the beauty of orchids through watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencil, ceramic, glass and other media. Exhibited among live, blooming orchids, artists are challenged to interpret the essence of the orchid be it in a classical botanical style, impressionistic, sculptured, etc., with the orchid as the central focus of the artwork.
Studios on the Park is a nonprofit gallery and open studios art center in a prestigious location in downtown Paso Robles, Ca. We have featured world-class artists in our exhibitions for over 10 years. Paso Robles is recognized nation wide as a premier wine and culinary destination and we, through exhibitions like these, contribute shows of curated, high quality artwork to this exciting cultural scene. We expect over 7000 visitors to our 2000 sq ft atrium gallery space for this exhibition.
Art sales from these exhibitions also serve as fundraisers for our essential arts services to more than 100,000 students, families and visitors each year, see more details below.
We are requesting, if you are interested, you email Henry A J Ramos by February 1 with images of available works and/or a description of your concept or work-in-progress.
Selections will be made based
on submissions received and available space.
