LightGabler 2020 Employment Law Update Seminar In San Luis Obispo: December 5
Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting “The Times They Are A Changin’ (The 2020 Employment Law Update).” The free seminar will be held Thursday, December 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Embassy Suites (333 Madonna Rd., San Luis Obispo).
California courts and legislative representatives have added new laws that will affect employers in 2020. To fully protect the workplace from costly employment disputes and government audits, California employers, managers and human resource professionals must stay abreast of the ever-changing landscape of employment laws in our state and cities, as well as the cases decided by California and federal courts throughout the year.
In this informative seminar for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorneys Jonathan Fraser Light and Susan S. Waag will discuss over 30 employment law issues to consider for 2020. They include use of independent contractors, the extended deadline for sexual harassment prevention training, paid family leave expansion, local and state minimum wage changes and an update to OSHA injury reporting requirements.
A continental breakfast will be served. Attendance is limited to no more than three people per company. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance and can be made by going to http://www.lightgablerlaw.com and clicking on “Seminars.” For questions, call 805-248-7089.
