Why the HECK would ag-loving, tri-tip barbecuing San Luis Obispo host a President’s Day Weekend Veg Fest, a day of vegan food and “edutainment” from 10am to 5pm at the SLO United Methodist Church, 1515 Fredericks Street, three blocks from Cal Poly and the 101? For the H.E.C.K. of it (health, environment, conscience, kindness) AND to eat delicious food, learn, eat some more, and see and hear new information that could really improve your life and the life of the planet. Plus, it’s fun.

All ages are welcome, all questions will be answered at our educational booths, and it’s totally free to attend. The positive, feel-good event attracts people from all over Central California and boasts speakers and cooking tutorials from around the country.
Over 30 vendors will be open all day sampling and selling baked goods, plant-based burgers, kombucha, clothing, shoes, bags, stickers, skin care, gift items, vegan cheese, condiments, books, and more! Expert speakers will discuss cooking with plant-based eggs; finding and making non-dairy cheese, milk and yogurt; and how to successfully transition to a plant-based diet.
