For the past 3 years SLO County residents have traveled south, across the border, to commune with the majestic grey whales in a protected breeding ground with Dawn Feuerberg, owner & founder of Aurora Adventures. The intimate experience often includes hugs and kisses from these awe-inspiring creatures. Dawn Feuerberg explains that “the whales communicate with us through their actions and often times it appears they are telling us that they are wise and gentle creatures worth protecting.” One time a 48 ft. mama whale nudge her 24 ft. baby to their boat so that they could meet and caress her beautiful calf. “It was a gesture of ultimate trust & wisdom.” says Dawn (This spectacular encounter is available to view at www.auroraadventures.us/baja-whale.

The Baja Whale & Cave Adventure that Aurora Adventures offers is one of a kind and is unlike any other in Baja.  Cyndi Ransom, a 2019 participant, says that “The entire trip exceeded our expectations. Touching a baby whale was most memorable but this trip is more than just a singular event. It is a matrix of many valuable and authentic experiences. Everything went without a hitch”
