Grab lunch from your favorite local restaurant (or your kitchen) and join us on Friday from 12 – 12:30 PM on Facebook LIVE for a stimulating conversation with SLO Chamber President/CEO, Jim Dantona and R.A.C.E. Matters SLO County founder, Courtney Haile.

Courtney Haile grew up in San Luis Obispo and earned a Masters in Ethnic Studies. In 2016 Haile co-founded community-based group R.A.C.E. Matters SLO and has since spoken publicly about race, diversity, inclusion, and action. Earlier this year, Haile executed her conceived R.A.C.E. Matter’s BELONGING project which grew into a local community effort and included a short documentary that she produced: Kut to be the Best: The Last Barbershop in San Luis Obispo. Today, she exemplifies R.A.C.E. Matter’s acronym: Responsibility, Action, Compassion, and Education through her efforts in leading peaceful rallies and gatherings to bring people together.
