A Place to GrowA Place to Grow, Recycled Greenhouses believes in supporting children’s causes and has done so recently by donating a “recycled greenhouse” to the Montessori Children’s School of San Luis Obispo.

The Montessori School plans to plant tomato seeds in their greenhouse and once they have grown to seedlings, they will sell them to fund their Art Program.

“We believe that our children need to connect with our earth through the planting of seeds and watching them grow,” said Dana O’Brien, A Place to Grow co-owner. “This greenhouse will enable the students to not only learn about their food and support their growth through art, but it will provide a beautiful space to teach them about functional structures and recycling.”

A Place to Grow, Recycled Greenhouses is an environmentally friendly company that creates greenhouses, and other unique outdoor spaces out of recycled and reclaimed materials, keeping materials out of the landfill and repurposing them into functional art. From 100-year-old barn wood or urban forested lumber, to repurposed french oak once used in wine processing or 50s era windows, all materials are custom crafted into structures with the utmost of attention to detail, making each outdoor structure as unique as the reclaimed materials used to build it.

Living in San Luis Obispo, CA, according to Oprah Winfrey the happiest City in America, has been a huge inspiration for A Place to Grow owner-operators Dana and Sean O’Brien. With nearly 300 days of perfect weather a year, Dana O’Brien’s love of gardening and her investment in creating an amazing outdoor living space for her children to grow up in inspired A Place to Grow. This husband and wife team summoned their passion, commitment and talent to demonstrate their promise to sustainable living. Sean and Dana have two adult children and are empty nesters looking forward to this exciting chapter. For more information, please visit RecycledGreenhouses.com
