On May 4, 2021, Alanna Andruszkiewicz, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast (BGCMCC), received the Major Gifts Program Award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) at their National Convention.

The award was part of the 2021 National Resource Development Awards for Excellence in Fundraising. The Major Gifts Program Award honors an outstanding major gifts program at a local Boys & Girls Club that has shown significant improvements and served more kids with greater impact. The winner was selected based on impact & outcomes, leadership, and professional development.

Alanna led her team to create a robust resource development plan that enabled BGCMCC to more than double its budget from $2.1 million in 2018 to $4.6 million in 2021. Alanna’s skill in developing a solid gift-giving plan and her ability to identify the core vision of each major donor has allowed her to demonstrate the extraordinary impact such donations have on the Club. Including increasing the number of children that can attend the Clubs daily and adding Clubs in Shandon and Santa Maria. BGCMCC also recently broke ground on the Tom Maas Clubhouse in Paso Robles, a 3-million-dollar project that will serve thousands of children and teens.

Thirteen Philanthropy professionals competed in the Major Gifts program. “It was certainly a record-breaking year for nominations, and Alanna’s work with the team on behalf of the Club was outstanding in a National context,” stated Blake Johnson, Director, Resource Development Club Services BGCA.

“With Alanna’s leadership, her team is top in the nation for major gifts outcomes by implementing innovative resource development strategies,” said Michael Boyer, CEO of BGCMCC. “Alanna and her team are building a sustainable foundation of resource development, aligned with our long-term vision of serving all young people, especially those who need us most. Congratulations, Alanna, and thank you for your hard work and commitment to helping children and teens on the Central Coast.”
