Spokes is excited to announce that its Nonprofit Board Academy will be held virtually on consecutive Tuesdays from Feb. 15 to March 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Board Academy aims to develop the skills critical to an excellent board service—whether you have served for years, just started out or are simply interested in getting involved.
The seven session topics will include: Board Basics, Insurance and Risk Management, Governance, Legal and Ethical Matters, Banking and Finance, Fundraising and Resource Development and Maintaining a Healthy Board.
Michael Simkins of Spokes, Gillian Cole-Andrews of People’s Self-Help Housing, Archie Torossian of CliftonLarsonAllen, Liz Summer of SESLOC Federal Credit Union, Daniel Gilman of Morris & Garritano and Kristen Andersen of The Law Firm for Non-Profits will make up Board Academy’s faculty.
Admission will $25 a session for members and $30 for non-members, with a $10 registration fee which will be waived for members. Registering for all sessions will grant a 15% discount on the total cost.
