The Dallidet Adobe and Gardens kicks off its 2022 season with a Spring Fling on April 3 from 12 to 2 p.m. at 1185 Pacific Street in downtown San Luis Obispo. A farm-to-table luncheon will feature Spring Vegetable soup, Rainbow Radish Salad, and Radis au Beurre – a French breakfast classic that is perfect for a warm spring day. Top it all off with blood orange cupcakes as the wine flows. Live music, springtime
games, a photo booth, and a raffle for a butterfly box will make the day unforgettable.
Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased on the History Center’s website.
In its fifth year, the heirloom gardens offer herbs and vegetables for tasting as well as potted plants available for a donation. With approximately 75 different varieties, unusual as well as familiar, the garden will provide food for many of the Dallidet Adobe events this season.
Upcoming events include a High Tea with typical tea-time fare on Mother’s Day Weekend. June brings a celebration of our county’s Spanish heritage, with a focus on Maria Acension “Cen” Dallidet and her artistic talents. July will see the return of our popular watercolor workshop. Garden produce will be the star at season’s end with a soup tasting in October. In addition to our events, the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens are open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. from April through October. The historical setting is also available for weddings, reunions, retreats and other special occasions.
