PRP Companies recently won three awards for three entries at the 2014 Printing Industries Association of Southern California (PIASC) Excellence Awards event on April 24, in Los Angeles. This was the first time that PRPCo competed in the annual contest.

PIASC is the largest graphic arts trade association in the nation, serving the interests of more than 1,600 Southern California member companies. In this year’s competition there were more than 280 top-quality submissions vying for awards ranging from a Certificate of Merit up to a Best of Category.

PRPCo won:
• Best of Category in Category B05 Booklet or Brochure Series: 5-Product Brochure Series, with specific mention of the excellent crossovers (images more effectively displayed on two facing pages than one page)
• Award of Excellence: Category W04 Direct Mail Campaign, Consumer = Mailing Services Promotion (“Scan your way to success”)
• Certificate of Merit: Category K00 Cards = PRPCo Holiday Card

PIASC entries are coded by number for anonymous judging by a team of graphic arts professionals with extensive printing industry knowledge. They apply the highest quality standards in the areas of
• Print Reproduction
• Layout, Design & Typography
• Stock Compatibility & Usage
• Binding/Finishing
• Difficulty
• Overall Excellence

PRPCo’s awards were accepted by Creative Manager, Rachell Newburn, and Graphic Designer, Heather Woolsey.

The annual competition is sponsored by AG Adjustments, Choose Print, Marathon Solutions, the American Advertising Federation, PIASC Insurance Services, and Carlson Advisors.
