Community members are invited to attend a free “Rain Barrel Basics” workshop on Saturday, October 8th at Farm Supply Company, San Luis Obispo. A panel of local experts will explain the essentials of installing and operating a simple rainwater collection system including key rain barrel components, irrigation tips and techniques, and mosquito prevention. Staff from the UC Master Gardeners Program, Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District, County Environmental Health Department, and the Farm Supply Company Irrigation Department will be in attendance to answer questions.
