Lighthouse KeepersThe Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers saw their busiest year yet in 2013, with nearly 7,000 visitors to the Light Station. Visitors came by trolley, they came by trail, and they came by kayak. They came for tours, for weddings, for winemaker dinners, to get a good scare, or to just “Make Merry”! And of course, none of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors and supporters.

The Lighthouse Keepers wish to thank our supporting agencies whose foresight and passion for preservation have brought us where we are today; The Port San Luis Harbor District & Commission, the State Coastal Conservancy, the California Cultural and Historical Endowment, the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Harold J Miossi Trust, Rengel+CO Architects, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company, particularly Senior Vice Presidents Ed Halpin and Helen Burt.

Thank you to our many sponsors for supporting our “Signature Event” fundraising efforts through the giving of your time and generous in-kind donations; Pioneer Valley High School, Central Coast Paranormal Investigators, The Great American Melodrama, and Alapay Winery. And to our media supporters El Dorado Broadcasters – KVEC 920 AM & Coast 101.3, The New Times, and the Avila Community News, thank you for helping to spread the good word.

And most importantly, a very special thank you to our thoughtful and diligent Board, and the very dedicated and hard hard working volunteers, who whether on the trail, the trolley, or at events, have warmly welcomed and shared the story of the Point San Luis Lighthouse with all 7,000 of our visitors – Thank you!
