The San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2012 Paul Wolff Accessibility Advocacy Awards until April 15th at 5pm. Now in its 12th year, these annual awards recognize and reward an individual, organization, and business in San Luis Obispo County for exemplary contributions toward the creation of a barrier-free community for people with disabilities during the past year.
The nomination forms are available online at www.sloccf.org/grant_pwaa.php, and must be received by the deadline at 550 Dana Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

“Three categories means there are three separate awards,” explains Janice Fong Wolf, director of grants and programs for the Foundation. “Consider people, organizations and businesses who have made significant contributions toward breaking down physical, attitudinal, or informational barriers for those with disabilities.”

Nominations for the awards are encouraged from the public at large, as well as from Chambers of Commerce, Cities, and the County of San Luis Obispo. Winners will be chosen by the Award Selection Committee comprised of representatives from organizations who serve people with all types of disabilities. The 12th annual award ceremony will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 in the Pavilion at the Cal Poly Performing Arts Center. Reception begins at 5:30 pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm.
