For the second time, Cuesta College will host the Career Technical Education Summer Camp, June 10-13, 2013. Fifty spots are open to the first 7th and 8th grade-age students who sign up. The camp will provide opportunities for personal growth, new friendships and experiences that will help define their career interests in fun and positive ways. Students will participate in hands-on activities involving business, health, information science and welding.
“Students will learn about the different career choices in the CTE field in order to help them focus their future education pathways, and, additionally, they will gain a real-world understanding of wages and the cost of living,” said camp director and CTE faculty member Sabrina Robertson.
The camp is being offered at no cost; it is funded through SB70/SB1133. Registration can be completed online here; no registrations will be taken on-site. For more information, call (805) 546-3100 extension 2840.
