Dane Hodgson is the founder of The SLO Backlots, a creative multi-use space for capturing life through film. Born and raised in San Luis Obispo, Hodgson studied film and media at the University of California at Santa Barbara. After college he began to work with bands of all levels and grew a passion for capturing lifestyle and turning it into meaningful content that resonates with its audience.
In 2018, Hodgson moved back to San Luis Obispo to open up his passion project, The SLO Backlots with the goal of fueling the creative culture in his hometown and helping to cultivate not only art, but a sense of community for SLO and the surrounding cities.
