About this week’s guest:
Walter Lafky is a fourth-year Cal Poly student and is founder and CEO of the local agriculture and sustainability start-up, Harvestly Company. Walter began his career early by starting a small farm in northern Oregon while in high school. He also worked several jobs as a farm hand, combine driver, irrigation manager and founder of Wally’s Tomatoes. Following his many agricultural related pursuits in high school, Walter decided to pursue agriculture studies at California Polytechnic State University. Since then, Walter has used his vast, hands-on knowledge of farms to create a solution for small farmers and local food producers through Harvestly Company.
