Brass Mash is a powerhouse horn band performing your favorite tunes from the 1960s to today, guaranteed to get Gen X, Gen Z, and Millennials dancing together with their throwback hits, super jams, and power ballads. Don’t expect to stand still – Brass Mash keeps the dance floor packed! Known for bringing any crowd to its feet, their signature style “mashes” two or more songs across genres and decades, creating a live “name that tune” guessing game. Think Britney Spears meets Black Sabbath, Lorde blends with Dr. Dre, and Daft Punk jams with ZZ Top in a unique vocal and saxophone talk box duet! Composed of San Luis Obispo musicians, the band has performed throughout SLO County since 2015 and hosts a popular First Friday event at Liquid Gravity Brewing. Brass Mash has graced stages at Live Oak Music Festival, Whalerock Music Festival, SLO Brew, Mission Plaza, and The Siren. In 2024, Brass Mash was voted Best Band in San Luis Obispo County by the New Times.
