WOODS HUMANE SOCIETY TO HOST 25th ANNUAL WIGGLE WAGGLE WALK

(SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA) – San Luis Obispo County’s largest K9 celebration returns this year for the 25th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk on Saturday, October 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mitchell Park in San
Luis Obispo.
The theme this year is Furry Tales! Dog lovers and their pups may participate in this one-mile walk-a-thon around downtown San Luis Obispo
beginning at Mitchell Park. Other festivities include a pet fair, exciting Doggie Fun Zone activity course, canine costume competitions, and raffle.
Walkers register as individuals or in teams online at woodshumane.org/walk2017. The registration fee is $20 per person and includes a very special Lemos Feed & Pet Supply walker goodie-bag. From there, walkers create a fundraising page and share the generated link with family and friends while competing for rad prizes ranging from dog leashes to Fitbarks (it’s a fitbit for your dog!).
The Wiggle Waggle Walk is a county wide celebration of “Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.” All proceeds for the event provide on-going shelter, medical care and behavior training for the homeless cats and dogs at Woods Humane Society – in order to make adopting a shelter animal a possibility.
“Our dogs are our best friends,” Woods Community Programs Director Steve Kragenbrink said. “They are our constant companions, our guardians, our playmates, our entertainers, our exercise partners, our shoulders to cry on and the loves of our lives. It is a bond worth celebrating, and worth sharing with the animals in need so that they may go on to find their own loving forever homes.” Supporting the Wiggle Waggle Walk for Woods directly supports the lifesaving work at Woods Humane Society.
