The Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting an informative workshop for business owners on July 17th from 9:00 – 11:30 am, where participants will be coached in reinventing their business model through the creation of new revenue channels. In response to the coronavirus pandemic and the economic impact it has left on the local business community, the SBDC aims to provide the tools and resources to help entrepreneurs explore creative options to thrive in this new climate. This workshop will take place in a two-session format: General and Breakout.

The general session will include futurist Erica Orange from Future Hunters and City of San Luis Obispo Public Health Director Dr. Penny Borenstein MD, MPH. Orange will discuss new emerging trends and the critical need to think outside the box for new business models after COVID-19. Borenstein will share an update on SLO County health and safety guidelines.

Breakout sessions are available for Retail, Restaurant, and Health and Wellness industries. Each session hosts expert panelists to coach attendees according to their industry pain points:
