The Starlight Dreamband is comprised from some of the finest musicians within the San Luis Obispo area. The group is dedicated to performing swing music from the big band era. Much of this music is derived from what we now call, our Great American Songbook. These are American standard songs from the likes of George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlan, Irving Berlin, and Johnny Mercer, just to name a few. This wonderful music was made famous by big bands and vocalists such as Count Basie, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, and many more.

The In Time Trio kicks off the show at a special 12:30pm starting time! The Trio infuses its tight harmonies and sassy, classy and cool moves into some of America’s best-loved songs from the 1940s to the 1990s. Enjoy tunes that defined their generations including Big Band, Rat Pack, Disco and Motown!
Members Rebecca Robinson, Judy Philbin and Kit Johnson have performed together for three years. The In Time Trio brings its upbeat, retrosounds to audiences around the county including for businesses, non-profits, veteran’s groups and private gatherings. Fans can expect to hear hits like “This Could Be the Start of Something Big,” “Sentimental Journey,” “Fly Me To the Moon,” “Begin the Beguine” and an Andrews Sisters medley.
